They're strung out behind so can't work as a pack, they need to!

One of my favourite riders announcing his retirement in February 2015. Cadel Evans tenacious character. Hope he remains in the sport.

Not sure, as a fan of Konig, wether I'm happy or sad. But they got some good signings there - Poels, Roche and Konig... they really are trying to up the climbing for the grand tours by the looks of that.

Slow day at work has me thinking... Who will Sky be using as leaders for the grand tours in 2015?
Tour, fairly obviously Froome - probably with support from ALL the big names, that would be a formidable team: Froome, Konig, Roche, Porte, Nieve, Thomas, Kennaugh, Kiriyenka, [Poels and Henao (maybe)] and so many more options.
But who leads the Giro/Vuelta, for many other teams all of those would be their GC rider, Surely its going to be very hard to keep that lot happy in a single team.
Rumor has it that Cataldo is leaving for Astana, Dombrowski for Cannondale(/Garmin) But there have also been rumours Sky were going to sign Viviani... would surprise me having got Fenn and confirmed the extension for Swift (even though I don't personally rate him).
Personally I'd like to see Konig and Thomas given a go, but I just doubt it will happen.

Konig, Kennaugh or Nieve probably but I don't think Kennaugh is there yet. Sky are a bizzare team though so we'll have to see how it plays out. Quite the line up they have got now.

The complexities are pretty interesting, I'm too busy at the mo' to try and unravel them - Sir Dave will be churning his cauldron ... eye of newt, wing of bat etc ... Tinkoff Saxo have Sagan on board, which mixes that team up differently, another situation I've not had time to ponder enough yet - going to be good next year.

I am quite sad to see Edvald leave, he is a great rider and team player. I was really impressed with Dombrowski at the Tour of California. He rode out of his skin for Brad, but had some bad luck with health issues this year. I would have like to see him move through the ranks at Sky.
