Would there be any benefit, for large threads ( eg What have you bought now?) to have their pages displayed in reverse order? So when you go into a thread, you see the most recent posting (or page) first, rather than have to go to the last page, and scroll down to the last post?

Would anybody be bothered to read the old threads then??

Perhaps this is something that can be configured by the user on an individual basis as per other forum software? Come in RedLeader....

Not something I'd like to see as default as I far prefer to read through a thread in order of posting, but if it were an option for those who wanted it then I've no problem.

If you are regularly on the forum, do you want to read the whole of a thread, or the latest update?

If you are regularly on the forum, do you want to read the whole of a thread, or the latest update? There is a little red "new" button next to each thread that takes you to the latest posts when you click on. Was frustrating until I figured that out. I'd still rather have the context provided by date order and not risk the annoyance of an answer before the question situation.

I'm ready to be corrected, but I thought the "new" button just told you there had been an addition to the thread, and took you to the beginning of the thread. Or that's the way it seems on my phone?

Don't know about with the app you're using but with a browser it takes you straight to the newest unread post in the thread.

You have to click/tap the actual NEW button for it to work. it's a small tap target but does work.
