Had my first first falling of incident this avo. I have just fitted my new clipless pedals (Shimano r540's). So I decided to have a go at clipping in and out. To my surprise I found it quite easy (I have never got on with MTB clipless) . However whilst tilting sideways I had a brain freeze and the old grey matter failed to send the right messages to my feet! Fortunately my knee took the brunt of the impact and saved my T3 from cosmetic damage, also the whole episode happened in the comfort of my garage so there were no witnesses. I have since had a quick ride out with no issues. However I am sure my time will come for some public humiliation. ;D

I have it on good authority that "clipless moments" happen to almost everyone. I am in the process of sussing out shoes and pedals so have yet to experience the "moment" On the plus side, you had your first moment beyond the gaze of the general public. I have heard several accounts of very public moments. (could do with a full face visor in these instances!)
Best of luck with the new set up. Keep us informed as to how you get on with them. Would also be interested to know if the clipless method makes any notable difference to cycling efficiency.

No incidents with my T3 yet but I did manage to ride into a parked van one Sunday morning on my hybrid. Serves me right for not looking where I was going, was sporting a lovely shiner for a good week.

Just try to remember to unclip one foot in traffic or slowing (lights 'n stuff).you do get used to it (doesn't mean it'll stop happening though.)

I know what you mean bandit. It's hard to unclip when your grinding up a hill. Luckily no cars in my incident just manage to get my foot unclipped

Had my first fall right at the decathlon store door! Was proving to John that the pedals on the T7 where rubbish. Well that was proof enough when I couldn't clip out of them when riding to the main door. Of course I got rid of them for a set of Keo Easy. Awesome pedals but no float on them but they are just perfect for me. Just like my M520 pedals.
