Sounds like it had crashed and you held long enough for the reset to me.

Mine had 80% charge on it when i went out, just died, Just tried it now and still nothing, its going back for a refund, ive a new phone ordered, new contract too so will get some data and use one of the satnav apps for now me thinks

Handier than the phone in nugget weather.

baz for navigation on the country roads I always used a thing called a Mickey Devlin totally waterproof :-)
