All of that in just a month? wow! Don't think I could run 5 miles to save my life. Reducing the run by 15 minutes and losing 12lb is some pretty good going for only one month! How much cycling have you been doing? give or take i basically started off doing my wee 5 mile route three times a week, then increased the mileage on one of the runs to 8 miles. kept up the same routine for a further week and then increased the frequency of the 5 mile runs to 4 times a week just to try and conquer the hilly road that was killing me and get more used to the gears and being on the roads as most of my cycling is on the cycle paths on the 75 route.. at the weekend i went for it and done a 27 miler and felt great, so going to reduce my wee 5 milers to maybe 3 times a week to keep my legs in, and increase the weekend mileage a good bit, going to try a 40 miler all going well this weekend,

going to try a 40 miler all going well this weekend, All the best, Sir! If you can do that, you'll easily manage the Balloch run with the group.

Just realised I had misinterpreted run with actually running not taking the bike for a run. Read the top half of the post thinking you were talking about running and then cycling was helping your running. *feels stupid* Still very good progress made!
