Since Jan i've cycled approx 2700 miles on the T3.
Only one puncture (descending at 40 miles an hour when i hit a pot hole - scary stuff!) And i've been knocked off twice by a car so the bike has had - (from the last crash) - New handlebars and bartape (fitted by myslef) as they were damaged & (from the first crash) - new crank arm, chain ring and wheelset. Each time the frame and fork have been fine!
Other upgrades -
11-28 Cassette Shimano RS30 Wheel-set Michelin Krylion Carbon Tyres Clarkes Gold Brake blocks and holders Shimano SPD pedals White Leather Saddle (one of the best buys so far!)

Keep rolling @reddevil56, wrong time of year I know but working in a other day or two would be good, even if just for 45 mins, you'll feel a lot better for it.

As long as you're enjoying it Blue Waters don't worry about how far or fast you go that'll all come later.

I've bought the bike at the wrong time of year I think :-( Only managing about 25-30k a ride as still having Physio for a running injury that's put me out of action for 6 months. Bought a turbo trainer to keep me going now the weathers turning. Out of interest do you ride with a group or on your own ? think I'd do better with a group but there's nothing around by us

Only? 25-30k sounds like a good distance especially if you're still having physio for a previous injury.
It's not about how fast or far you go, it's about how hard you found the ride and whether you pushed (and enjoyed) yourself.
Haven't ridden in a group yet, would like to one day though.

You should come and cycle in the dales, the scenery is spectacular and the hills hard. I'm pushed lol

Definately Group riding is better IMO, I think there's only so far you can go solo, in terms of measuring how far you've progressed. Strava is good for gauging progress but doesn't come close to riding with someone else.

7,922.79 miles so far. Red Triban 3.
Problems:
Rear gear cable frayed inside the right hand shifter (hidden) causing slippage on the rear cassette.
Front brake caliper bolt seized into the front fork.
Rust showing on the original bottom bracket when replaced with Sora Chainset/bracket
Both shifters rattling. The left hand one seems to have cured itself.
Original brake pads replaced with Clarks due to poor performance on steep descents.
Original wheels creaked like mad when put under strain. Replaced early doors.
Original pedals a bit of a joke. Replaced after purchase.

Through the TOC I met @leo, and through @leo I hooked up with the 'Into The Forest' cycle group on Facebook, and now I have a 30 mile New Forest cycle in the diary for tomorrow morning, and they do regular Thursday evening blasts and other rides. Point I'm making is that there are groups out there, maybe not obvious at first but am sure they are there. Sky Ride website is another place to look for riders in your area, @reddevil56.

Agree with @billyadam ... but I would, as we do social rides together and they're a good laugh.
In reality though, they're a bonus to the other solo miles and BA does more of those than I do but they are the disciplined ones ... you can join a club of course but that's got its own issues (not knocking it).
I think it's rare in this day and age to be able to find a balance that's perfect and pushing on on your own is what we all have to do at times in reality ... I missed one tonight due to family, trying to get my lad out tomorrow but he's resisting, so really it's important I don't let it all slip and not bother tomorrow as well - probably best I just get on with it.

I'm with a club with my running and learnt so much by joining. Could do with similar with my bike. It's a bit of teach yourself at the moment but I'm slowly getting there. This forum is great

You can usually export and upload gpx files between all the sites so you can use whichever ones you want, or all of them.
I use endomondo as I use the app on my phone for tracking, and then copy to strava - I like being able to see how I compare to previous rides on all the segments as well as the ride as a whole.
