Hello all!
I am a bit stuck with some research on Triban 5 2012 (white) complete specs. By complete I mean the measures of every component. I need it to think about upgrades like seat post, brake levers and their compatibility with the Sora group, etc.
Can you help me with this? I don't find it anywhere...
For example, I am looking for a replacement of my Sora brake levers. I don't like those shifters... I thought about buying a Tiagra set but I don't know if they're compatible with what.
I read in several forums that Sora isn't compatible with anything and that you need to replace all the group, which is stupidly expensive (same price of complete bike for a Tiagra group).
I also want to replace the aluminium seat post for a carbon one, but again I miss the precise measures and can't think about the best options for my bike.
I know these are a lot of questions and you can easily notice my confusion here, but I would really appreciate your help.

I can't help you with the shifter issue but if you remove your seatpost it will have the dimensions on it somewhere.
Don't all of the Tribans share the same geometry?

The new style Sora shifters without the thumb button, are Β£85 from Ribble at the mo with the promo code on their site.
To be sure just measure seat post, it might say the size on it too.

The new Sora shifters are probably exactly what you are after and should work with your existing sora components as they are both 9 speed.
If you wanted tiagra shifters then you would need to put a 10 speed cassette on the back, and depending on whether you have a compact or a triple you may need to change things at the front. Not sure if tiagra offers a triple option.
I think dΓ©railleurs shouldn't be an issue, as they are just moved about by the shifters, assuming their high and low movement is enough - I don't know if 10 speed is just closer together cogs or whether the cassette is wider.

thanks about the seatpost info. I will check it out. I think on frame size 54cm seatpost dimensions are a bit different but I'm still uncertain. about Sora shifters I recently discovered that they launched new brake levers/shifters a bit more user friendly. did anyone tried them? I also can fit old tiagra 9v, I think they sell them on ebay but will think better about it. thank you all, cheers

The 2013 sora? Got them on my T5a and are very nice Haven't used thumb shifters but I think they would just annoy me compared to having the paddle shift for both directions
