Just interested to see why you bought your Triban and what you mostly use it for. Please tick up to two categories, if appropriate, and let us know if you've changed your mind about its use since you originally bought it.
I bought mine with a view to getting out there for recreational and social rides (improving fitness) and have now done a couple of sportives on it too.

Originaly fitness and the slog to work and back. Killing 2 birds with one stone so to speak. The enjoyment of just getting out there has taken over as the main reason now though.

Trying to get fitter, lose weight and reduce my hypertension. Succeeding with the first two but surprisingly having little effect on the third. My GP wants to review the 3 meds I already take. Ho, hum.

not quite nipping to the shops and back but I need to get around to a lot of retail premises in very short time at short notice sometimes for reasons which are too boring to go into here (and no I'm not a courier)
bike is also great fun just to ride and helps with fitness

Ho, hum. It's working on two of those three for me too. Unfortunately not the weight loss, cycling is giving me a huge appetite - but my weight it stable. I did lose 1.5 stone earlier in the year just through dieting. Once I was back under 14 stone I started getting back out on the bike, then I got the T3a and never looked back!

Needed something to fill my spare time after coming out of a long term relationship and it is cheaper than my motorcycling. A friend who is well into cycling suggested I give it a go. Have become a bit too into it now though if there is such a thing.

At least I am not the only one with a huge appetite, I am eating as much as when I gave up smoking sevral years ago

Ineeded something to keep me fit so i bought a BTwin Rockrider 5.1
I started to take this on long rides and was running out of gears so bought the Triban 3 after reading a lot of reviews.
I use the Rockrider on road tyres for my 1.5 mile commute as it has suspension and is easier on my arms. The Triban is my only choice for evening/weekend rides. I never thought id be the kind of person to have more than 1 bike but the option to switch between the 2 is great:)

Yeah, it was the stopping smoking that had a lot to do with putting the weight on!

I run normally with a running club but due to a leg injury haven't been able to run for 6months. Physio suggested I " get on my bike ". I'm now converted and Physio can already see an improvement from me cycling. So my bikes mainly for fitness. Living in the Yorkshire Dales I have the beauty of opening my front door onto open countryside. My rides are endless

Used to enjoy riding my MTB along an ex-railway cycle path when I was younger so cycling was the obvious choice for fitness since it was something I knew I would enjoy.
In the ballot for the london ride 100, and planning to to london to brighton - so I'd say recreational/fitness/sportives. Want to challenge myself on it so hopefully the sportive will get harder each summer. Would be very happy if I could ever complete the fred whitton challenge.

I became the proud owner of a T3 to:
1. Shift the lard. Carrying far too much of a beer baby. 2. Improve my fitness. Apart from my golf I had no other real exercise. Ex gym goer but too boring. 3. Intended commuting. Had bike since October last year, only started commuting very recently. Wish I'd started when I bought the bike. Getting more use out of it now plus feel fresh and wide awake when I get to work. Arriving home feel knackered but feel as though I've achieved something. Loving it.
