I have a T3 (red one !!) and I'm thinking about upgrading the groupset to shimano 105 ( like the hidden cables) is it worth upgrading using the frame or should I save my pennies for a complete upgrade (new bike) later? Looking for a smoother gear change than the current shimano 2300/sora set up but like my sporty red frame (albeit apart from the small b'twin logo much prefer the B'TWIN logo). Would welcome everyone's comments, advise and experience. Thanks

I am upgrading to 105 too. I am in a better position than you though due to owning a T7. I wouldn't be surprised that the opinions of others would be split on the issue of upgrading a T3 to 105. At the end of the day it's how you feel about doing the upgrade and willing to spend.

I've got a bit of a similar sort quandary, I have bought myself a Bianchi frame 2nd hand and a few bits to get it built up next year.
However I'm finding the current T3 seems to fit me really well, Oh plus I like the colour. I'm now in two minds about if I should run the T3 over the winter with the original components and then I could upgrade her next year, perhaps instead of putting the parts on the other frame.
I know the Bianchi will look the part but will it fit so well.
To your problem, if your planning on using the bike over the winter I would consider buying bits at sale prices over the winter ready to upgrade for the good weather next year. Although there are better known frames out there (mainly named brands) sub Β£700 - 800 they don't seem to be too much of an upgrade until you get into full carbon etc.
