Before anyone starts, I don't mean head under the duvet type so any such replies will be treated with the contempt they deserve I have been experimenting with tyre pressures as per some other threads. Running the stock FRC tyres at 7 bar but feeling very uncomfortable. The pump I have is a Decca track pump with gauge. Got my dad to test it as he is ex quality control and found that at an indicated 7 bar the actual pressure in the line was 8 bar - way too high. I got him to do me a table of actual pressure against indicated and now run my tyres at 6 bar. Much more comfortable and at sub 70Kg no pinch punctures so far.

What's all this bar stuff you're on about? we use PSI here sub 70kg and 90PSI doesn't sound too bad. Tbh I have no idea how good my pumps are, got no way of testing them. I just rely on my joe blow sport track pump being accurate, no pinch flats since I started using it Gave my lezyne road drive a test on the tyre the other day, even at 90-100PSI I could still pump it up easily, so pretty useful for a pump to take on rides

I should have guessed the PSI thing from the poll on members age, lol.

I tend to work in Bar, mainly because that's what's written on the tyre walls (if PSI is there too I must have missed it). In terms of pumps, I have a track pump from Lidl, could be Adi I forget which. I know it reads wrong on the gauge but we just pump them up till they're hard enough
