I've had a great weekend of cycling. Took part in the inaugural Giro D'Espresso (a new sportive for Suffolk, 70 miles) on Saturday then up early and down to the Marina to watch the preparations for the start of the UCS Ipswich and Coastal Grand Prix, a new race and the final preparation for a lot of the domestic pro teams (UK Youth, Rapha Condor, Sigma Sport etc) before the start of the Tour of Britain. I then took part in the Sky Ride and was in time to catch the race coming back through town VERY close to my home, which leads me to posting this: www.strava.com/activities/81005165ALOT of local cyclist's KOM's have not only fallen this weekend but have been obliterated and will likely never be touched! There were some determined looking faces among some of the commuters this morning, lol.

Puts things in perspective. There is always somebody faster. I'm just happy that there are an awful lot more who are slower.

Chris is a nice bloke and also a Helston lad! Nice to see him doing well in Ipswich! no offence Howard He has KOM's round here that I can't even see with binocuars. His local club own all records for the roads and hills round this area.
