Was showing the F-I-L my bike on Saturday and him being an inquisitive engineer wondered why I don't just use the mini pump attached to my bike to top the pressure up than get a track pump since the gauge on the mini pump goes all the way to 120psi....So we try it...and turns out the connection isn't presta compatible - the result - a completely flat tyre and tesco have sold out of the track pump I want to buy (which is metal and a lot better quality than the Wilko version (which I can't find anywhere, for the record) Which means no ride since Thursday for me! Driving me insane!

Hmmm, might have to pick one of those up myself, discovered the pump I had for my MTB doesn't fit Presta either. Mind you I'd like one that's smaller and will fit in my saddle bag if I can!

Are you absolutely certain the valve isn't adjustable? You usually take the end out, turn it over and put it back in.
