nothing touches the t7 price wise, to get the same spec - ie 6061 alu front triangle, carbon fork and rear stays, tiagra 10sp gruppo you are looking at the pinarello fp uno at roughly 1250 a shot the fc3 looks tidy but one spill and its gone, great if a pro team are paying for your ride but not so good if you do that in your 2nd week of riding it, carbon is what it is, expensive next gen materials that cost a premium but dont make your legs any less sore, besides the fc3 and t7 weights are near identical decathlon had better watch really, they are selling a 5hitload of bikes and making it more accessible to the masses but if they are building this reputation of crappy lead times and constant revisions of lead times, along with their dire online stock info, they might end up sending a load of impatient cyclists of to halfrauds or worse, tesco As much as I go on about the FC3 - thinking its the next thing to slice bread and butter, zoltansocrates goes and bring me down to earth! He's right as usual and I have to face it, the FC3 is a sportive bike not a communter. So it's all about application and in this case I don't think a full carbon bike is suited for cycle 2 work. hey whitey was in your neck of the woods today, cannock actually - 0500 start, got back about 1900, all for a three hour meeting about stuff i already knew, sheesh the fc3 is a racier geometry, the triban s the sportive bike, if your thinking of commuting a carbon bike is a bad idea, apart from all the usual dangers on road, where you park it is important, people will play/tamper with your bike, you know what some people are like youll come back and find a hole in the frame golden rule - commute, go cheap ride - spend as much as you reasonably can

I'm in the same boat although it's only been two weeks so far. It seems crazy that they can't put through a 'get one of these built' requests or something. I'm waiting for a size 60 T7 so if anyone sees one please let me know. sodafarl, a Decathlon guy told me yesterday there was a 57 in Belfast.

Been really busy - new school term and all that. Nice to know you were 16 miles from me lol. There is a sportive there next month in Cannock. I know for sure rossa is going to be there. I think it's likely for me too. Unsure what event as I have my mate going with me. If he does I will have to do the shorter event. See you there? Oh I agree with you on this point. I hadn't given it much thought - no thought actually about commuting on a carbon bike until this thread. I would not do it. Yet I had always planned for three bikes - MTB, Whitney and my racer (no name until she joins the family!).
