Knew it would happen at some point, had my first fall today right outside Sheffield station so plenty of witnesses. I stopped by the entrance as always but fort some unknown reason completely forgot to unclip until it was too late.
No damage to the bike and only a sore thumb and embarrassment to me.

It always happens at the spot with the most possible witnesses.
Don't sweat it. There are two types of cyclist. Those who have just fallen and those who are about to.

I fell again this time classic del boy falling thru the flap of the bar (remember) only fools and horses got all the way home i have to negotiate a garage wall and a small alleyway to reach our garden gate unclipped and usually climb off and carry the Triban thru the garden gate and into the conservatory this time as i was stopping unclipped the wrong foot realised as i was level with the gate and gracefully completely fell thru the gate off the saddle onto the grass with the bike kinda wedged between the posts of the fence strangely enough no one saw me and no damage to the bike ............................. you gotta laugh havent you ..................... i bloody well did ...................... clumsy T##t

The first time my OH fell was completely hilarious. The only witness was me. We were out mountain biking in Scotland on a single track route. I always let him take the big ascents ahead of me becuase I am just slower up them, so on this one I watched as he fought and fought to get to the top of this ascent on a path that was bone dry, covered in dry soil, pine needles and tree roots. He made it to the summit despite losing traction on the rear wheel several times only to come to a complete stop at the top and keel over to the left making no attempt to unclip. I had to wait around 5 minutes before I had the energy to attempt the climb - I had been laughing too hard. Since our tour he has not gone back to using clipless for some reason

I thought I got away with this myth about failing off, but alas, I didn't. After a 18 mile-ish ride with a couple of steep hills chucked in for good measure, I got about 200 yards from home, pulling up to a junction whilst slowing down, looked right, yep traffic is coming, best stop, so looked forward, then down at the wheels and just completely forgot to unclip and fell left. Just a bruised ego but at least the lorry driver behind me asked if I was okay. Lesson learnt on that!
