Hi
Just been out on my new T5 after about 45 years not being on a bike. What a pleasure to ride. How times have changed the gear levers are totally different to get used to but much better. Only did about 3 miles with a long gradual climb for about a mile, I was surprised that I managed to get up with no problems.
Will extend my ride tomorrow get back to being fit insyead of a couch potato.
However the seat feels like I am sitting on a park bench must change it to something more comfortable. Any suggestions (not got much budget left so cheap but comfortable).
Andy

Saddles are a very personal thing.
If you have a "specialized" dealer near you - they have an "ASS OMETER" to tell you what width of saddle you would be best with.
The "charge spoon" keeps comming up in recomendations
I have a "specialized henge" and like the feel of it over the spoon.

Another vote for the Specialized fitting system. I had a Charge Spoon which became uncomfortable to sit astride on rides of two hours or more. Got fitted on the Specialized memory foam pad which measures how far apart your sit bones are and came away with a beautiful titanium-railed Specialized Romin Evo Expert saddle which I'm very happy with.

Ah so that's how they measure the sit bones! Had bad images of 2 camp guys with tape measures repeating ooh suits you sir!

I actually didn't mind the seat from the White T5 (not sure what the new one is like) but i did swap mine for a Fizik Aliante Gamma. I picked one up in Decathlon for Β£35, seemed like a bargain so went for it. I put the old seat on my MTB which is fine for shorter rides but wasn't so good when i did the Trans Pennine Trail coast 2 coast in three days.

Andyrus.
You've got to give it a few weeks for your bum to "harden off". I'd been off the bike for two months and I've found on my return that my legs are ok, but I'm really feeling it in the backside. This wasn't the case before, I just need to get it used to sitting on a bike again.

Well I splashed out Β£43 on a specialised henge expert. Evans Cycles. There is a discount code I searched for which got Β£5 off. Do a search on tinternet for Evans discount codes.
Pick it up tomorrow I hope.
