Excellent read just sent my partner the Christmas list see which sections she buys from lol. Just checked my saddle its too low by about 3 inches.

Interesting read, not sure about spending Β£30-Β£40 on brake blocks though. And Β£6 for cycle oil? Buy the Wilkos stuff for Β£1.41 a bottle, it's oil, on a chain (not an internal combustion engine), keeping the chain clean and replacing it when it is "stretched" is most important for ensuring the compenents have a long life. You can even run without oil on the chain, some people do and swear by it, it's just slightly noisier and as long as it doesn't go rusty it should still last.

Very good article.
After reading then disappearing into the garage I discovered my saddle on both my T3 and MTB were 2" too high according to the article!

I checked my saddle earlier. Spot on. I did think it was too low the other day. I also checked the heel on the pedal technique that I used to set it up initially and that was bob on too.
