Need to replace it, and as usual there is far too much choice and variation.
Have had severe tendonitis in wrists in the past from heavy weight lifting etc, so I'd like to be able to reduce any vibration but not to the point where the grip is spongy and more difficult to grip.
I see cork stuff, gel backed stuff and foam stuff :/ No idea what difference is.
Can anyone point me in the direction of somthing decent?
Thanks.

I bought some lizard skins dsp 3.2mm bar tape (around Β£26) and found it a pig to get it to look nice, I struggled to get the bar ends right as the tape was too thick. It does have a nice feel to it and would probably last, just not on my bike. I binned the lizard skins and just used some Easton cork bar tape which went on a lot better and not as much bulk and only 7 quid.
I would say bar tape is a personal thing, like saddles, what works for one person may not work for another and you may try a few before finding something that your happy with.

Specialized do some called Phat tape or something like that?. You get a gel to put on your handlebars first. My mate has it and it really cushions the grip.

I would really recommend Clark's Cork bar tape. A huge improvement over the standard tape and a million times more cushioning then the cheapo foam Deda tape.
I think the Clark's cork tape was only 6 quid as well so can't go wrong.
