I scratched my seat tube yesterday putting on the d lock. Not massively but about 2cm sq. Annoying as much as anything. Any tips - repair wise. Not about me being less stupid Thanks

What? Twice? Look up the technique for fill and repair of cars. I'm guessing it's the white you've scratched? if so it should be easier to match than other colours. The only thing I'd add to anything you find on the web about car scratches is to be careful if you've got down to bare metal, a special primer might be required.

I have the metallic dark version. Bugger. Might get a larger bottle holder to cover it! Lol Never have too much to drink!

Oh dear. Metallics are usually difficult, and they are often a gloss coat over a coloured base coat. The added difficulty is that the base coat has to be sprayed from the same direction as the original for the metal flakes to match! Perhaps a sticker?

This metallic on the t5a isn't glossed either its matt.
Cheers.

Got my 5a yesterday, returned the 3 after its third BB fail in 800 miles and got a full re fund against a the 5am and a free elite cage and sky bottle due to a chip and small scratch. Used a Carplan black wax chip stick an it's all gone. Will post an after photo later. Much easier than a paint touch up...
Ps slightly noisy chain but like the bike, sounds like the usual greaseless hubs so a trip to my dads for a lube up soon other wise v happy. Mate with a carbon trek thought it was 7-800 notes worth.

Was it a 3a and how do they compare to each other,is it worth the extra money?

Hi, was an original 3 with carbon forks etc. the five is better, same great frame and forks plus sora group set with sora hollowtechII BB. So all the things I'd have upgraded on my red 3 for only Β£129. That said I have a worry the bottle cage bosses are wonky (of hopefully the elite cage is wonky). Stem might be a tad longer too and the sora shifter hoods are more of a stretch away.
Only do 22 miles on it but it felt like home, with better bits!!!.

Flipping bottle cage bosses are wonky. Can't be bothered taking another bike back so if made some spaces from cut washers and hey presto all straight. Painted te washers black.
