Well, at least I'm on the way. The last time i rode a bike was 17th June on my commute back from work and felt a bit poorly after it. I continued to feel poorly for a few days and a week later they took my appendix out. This weekend was the first time I've ridden since then, even though it was only 30 mins or so on the rollers in my shed. I felt better than I thought it would. I was expecting to be completely knackered after a few mins (which is what i was like when I first started cycling), but no, I settled into a rhythm and it all came back. Much pleased . Mrs Slog wasn't though. I still have to go to the hospital tomorrow for some further investigation, as they think they've found something else during the appendix episode, and she thinks I should have waited until after that. Ah well

Well, that was an experience. I had a camera probe inserted in the urology department, and by coincidence it was in the urology clinic too! I'll never look at a brake cable outer the same way again However, they found nothing wrong there, which is a relief, though I have to wait for some results to be sure. Should be back on the bike this week.

Sorry to hear about your illness captslog. Looking like you may be well on the mend now.
You've missed a good bit of summer riding time. However, getting yourself right was obviously your main priority.
Welcome back to the Tribe, let us know how your riding goes.
