Due to the pressure of these selling out, I popped into my local decathlon today (Stockport) and ordered a triban 3 red 54cm for winter and Collecting tomorrow.
In my haste I told them I wanted mudguards and the chap recommended me sks raceblades and ordered them too and will be pre fitted
Now upon arriving home I have realised the sks were the short type ones and not the long ones.
Are the short ones still ok and perform well?
Bike will be used for winter commute/training.

they're good for suppressing spray on people following you, up your back and on your bottles but they wont protect your mech, brakes or BB because they don't offer full coverage.
I use the Raceblade Longs which are attached using brackets that fasten on to the brake bolts and then the guards clip on. these offer a bit more coverage but not perfect

you will most definitely want long ones for winter, not short ones I'm afraid.

Thanks guys, I wonder if they accept refunds once they open the package and fit on bike?

Thanks guys, I wonder if they accept refunds once they open the package and fit on bike? they did for the rack they fitted to my OH's T3 which when I took one look at it realised instantly that our panniers would not fit onto it.

Cool, will see what they say tomorrow So for the record the sks race blade longs? I've read a few threads and there doesnt seem to be a definite answer to ones that fit 100% It's split between: 1. Crud mk2 2. Raceblade longs 3. Sks chromoplastic Wish decathlon made an own brand full coverage guard that fits no hassle!

SKS chromoplastics with 700x25c tyres won't fit - I have this combination and have had to "adapt" the mudguards and the rear mudguard relies on my pannier rack to stay on the bike! Don't know about with 700x23c tyres which is what the stock tyres are.

I had crud roadracers on my 60cm red t3 and thought they were excellent. Bit of pig to fit on front and in end left tip off front guard but otherwise couldn't fault them. Unfortunately had big crash few months ago and obliterated them! Will definitely get some more before winter. Excellent coverage of mech and spray up back and those following.
