Somthing cheap off of ebay or maybe a Carrera TDF if you can get it for £250 like it was the other week.
Maybe you could get a Triban 3 for £200-£250 off of ebay too.

Ah same same, you can get a good hybrid on ebay for less than £200. Just sold a decent one myself on there for £150.
I'v only ever slipped off in wet weather on the hybrid I had, happened twice, bloody painful. So far never on a road bike. I think the fatter but still semi slick tyres on hybrids are more dangerous in the wet than the a normal decent pair of thin road bike ones!

Why not have a look at Btwins hybrid bikes? No idea which ones are good and worth the money. Btwin Hybrid

Maybe worth asking nysavant he's new on here, says he has a network 3 he commutes on and is quite happy with it.

I blame the fact i was running a higher pressure than usual and using it for training during winter. I think that and the fact the centre of gravity is higher contributed to my fall (i was cornering at speed at the time). It's gone now. The T7a is my new trainer/commuter/winter steed. Excellent bike.

Maybe worth asking nysavant he's new on here, says he has a network 3 he commutes on and is quite happy with it. What he says Had the Nework 3 for 6 months now and use it daily for work/shops/pub trips. Commute is only four miles but I've taken it much further (40+) with no problems. It's a 6 speed, full mudguards, stand, dynamo lights, chain guard. Only thing I've added is a rear pannier rack. The whole bike is very stable and takes on any hills with no problem by dropping a gear or two. It's quite a plain looking bike so doesn't attract unwarranted attention when it's locked up either. If I had to choose one bike to keep then it would be the Nework 3 (yep even before my Triban 5a!). But the best thing is, at the moment they're selling it for £139.99 on the Decathlon website. Great Value.
