Just noticed the new tab 'My Routes' on Strava Dashboard which takes you to their new route builder. Looks interesting.

Is this a 'Premium' only function?

It could be. I'm Premium at the moment because of the free trial, but the tab doesn't have the premium logo next to it so I'm unsure. Just been testing the functionality and I think they really missed a trick with this. Once you've made a route you should be able to see all segments within the route. EDIT: Just checked. It is a premium feature

Are you going to continue with Premium once your trial expires? Is it worth the outlay?

Are you going to continue with Premium once your trial expires? Is it worth the outlay? In all honesty, most likely not. It seems mostly geared toward power meter users and I'm never likely to get one of those. There are some useful features but I can live without them.

I've just been looking for a route mapper. After seeing this I checked out my Strava profile and I have the route planner too and I'm not premium.
<edit>
Spoke too soon. Once the tab is clicked it is premium.

Thought they'd keep it up their sleeve as an added incentive to sign up to premium, fair play to them.

Ahhhh, I see. The route builder will get better as more people use it as it's based on 'likes' and recommendations, etc, so it's in Strava's interest to make it widely available... I'm so naive, lols!

I had to set one up for colleague and so I use RideWithGPS. Strava has gotten that feature sorted so if you have a GPS unit, turn by turn is yours! Let us know how well the cue sheets come out.

Just noticed that once you have created and saved a route, if you view the route it gives you a list of segments below the elevation profile. Neat.
