My T3's stock tyres are looking increasingly worn and I'm losing confidence in them... I keep thinking every imperfection in the road surface is going to cause a pinch flat!
There are so many out there I have no idea where to start. Not looking to spend much more than £15 per tyre. The Hutchinson Equinoxs sound good but don't seem to have great reviews... also quite liking the look of the Scwalbe Luganos.
Looking for good puncture resistance without comprimising too much on rolling speed.

For you requirements I'd go with the Luganos.

I've had vittoria rubinos on from the start. No issues at all. No doubt after saying this I'll get a flat. FFS.

I had a cheeky look in Decathlon after work and they seem to have a good deal on the Hutchinson Atoms. 2 tyre and 2 tubes for not much over £30. Anyone know what these are like?
Very mixed reviews for the Luganos on Amazon.

Anyone know what mileage the stock tyres are supposed to be able to do?
Having a quick read around suggests 2k to 7k for standard Schwalbe so I'd guess the stock tyres would be in that range too.

I did 1600 miles on mine with only one puncture. I found them fine except in wet when not so good. Just put on rubino pros which are lighter and definitely faster for £17.50 each on wiggle.

The guy who sold it to me said about 1000 miles and that they aren't very good but may as well use them until worn out.

I switched to a set of rubinos after my btwin tyres became heavily cracked after about 1000+ miles though in fairness I never had a single puncture. So far close to 750miles on the rubinos they are looking like the day I bought them and to date still no punctures.
They were about £11-£12 at evans cycles at the time, I would definitely recommend and buy again when current set is worn out.

I got only 600 miles out of my stock tyres before they died a sad death, but I was not overly confident on them either. Changed over to 700x25c Schwalbe tyres before last winter and I cycled all through winter on them no matter what the weather - missing only 1 day when I used the mtb with studded tyres due to snow being on the ground and roads not clear. they have been really good in icy conditions as well. I went with Schwalbe Durano pluses (slower & heavier but I prefer them) - wanted to the fairy resistance (fantastic) and the grip & confidence (again fantastic) in both dry & wet (yet again fantastic). have covered +3,000 miles on them with only 1 visit from a hawthorn thorn causing a slow fairy visit...
Personally I would not expect the stock tyres to get anywhere near the mileage that Scwhalbe tyres would. Other Schwalbe tyres I have had have covered +9,000 miles before needing replacing.

Decided to go with the Atoms. Good reviews everywhere and £34.99 for 2 seemed like a very good deal. £30.99 each on Wiggle.
Just nipped out in my lunch break to get them, also picked upu some lovely bright green tyre levers :-).

I've got the normal pro tyres not slicks but have found them excellent and agreed no tyre levers needed to put them on
