I may go for a better frame next year and carry over some of the better bits I have bought. I can always restore the T3 to its original spec (there seem to be a lot of people looking for one) or keep it as a winter trainer.

But Phred, what do you mean by a better frame? That is one of the best bits about the T3. Made by Deda in Italy, The quality is great and probably better than a lot of the 'named' frames mass produced in the far east.
Are you intending to go carbon?

Yes Stevo I agree that the T3 has a good frame and certainly for the money its fantastic value. I am not sure about the Deda connection though. Mine has a "made in Italy" sticker on it but a lot are made in Romania not that makes them any better or worse. Its a matter of perception to some extent. Is is worth spending three times the original cost of the bike on upgrades? I think I have probably optimised mine at a total cost of Β£600 and anything else will be just cosmetic like handlebar tape for example. What I would like to do is build a bike around this frame: Its Deda, its red and the missus might not notice the difference
