Hi all. zoltansocrates and myself met at Decathlon in Edinburgh yesterday morning and had a very enjoyable social ride of some 34 miles over the Forth to Fife and back. Took a few pics on the day and thought I'd share them here. I was first to arrive at Mecca. A 'group' shot in front of the hallowed gates! A quiet ride through the grounds of Dalmeny House. The Forth Bridges. Oh no - I've killed zoltansocrates !! A miraculous recovery. Me!

superb del, was a good ride actually, quite enjoyed the outbound past the airport and some very nice expensive houses in cammo, the count 14 pinging off its mount at 25mph was an indicator of the road surface around there but thats due to the amount of land rover evoque and discovery that trundle over the tarmac day by day
dalmeny house is nice to look at but all it means to me is a left turn into a right bitch of a climb, those cattle grids arent too clever either
id love to know the gradient of that wee, 10 yards?? climb back up to the bridge though, front wheel off the floor stuff that
looking forward to having the thunderbolt on board too now that his five is being pressed, polished and packaged, well get flying along that a8

Hey Zolt i noticed yer bike is smaller than Dels, does that mean ya gotta pedal twice as fast to keep up ? It's not smaller - it's just further away...........

Looks like a good ride. Hopefully I'll be joining the next one if I get a new job soon where I'm not working every weekend.

Hopefully I'll be joining the next one if I get a new job soon where I'm not working every weekend. i would suggest evening rides but the nights will be closing in within the next 4 weeks - aaaargh the only problem riding at night is unseen potholes and slippery surfaces, ill need to dig out the 'dirty bike' for that

It is getting towards the time of year where evenings get difficult. I would suggest later times as I quite often finish at 2pm but I'm usually only good for a lie down after being up from 4am so that doesn't help. I've got a final job interview this week so hopefully I'll have some more normal hours soon.
