How apt a thread! I have just ordered a Moon Meteor bike light yesterday lunchtime from JE James Cycles (a LBS in Sheffield with an online mail order presence) and paid Β£3.50 for express courier delivery (i.e. for delivery today) and it took until 4:30 this afternoon to receive a dispatch notice & even then it said via Royal Mail 1st class! In comparison I ordered some clothes for a holiday yesterday evening around 7/8pm from ASOS and they were delivered to my work this morning.
I fired off a polite email asking if this was an error & all I've received is an email from paypal stating I've received a refund of Β£3.50 from them with no actual response or apology from them at all! Shockingly bad customer service imo as they could have at least offered me an apology, especially as I bought the item with the intention of using it this weekend in the lakes (the weather is usually crap over there and so anything I can do to boost my visibility is a godsend).
When I'd seen the item on Wednesday evening, I'd sent an email to Wiggle for a price match (as the stated time was 24 hours for a response & they're usually fairly quick), but they didn't respond until this morning with the discount code to price match. I bet if I ordered it now on Wiggle it would still come sooner!
On a side note I've just noticed that the LBS near to me that I've been waiting since the end of January for it to open has now finally opened its doors this week, guess where will be getting the bulk of my custom from now on?
(Apologies about the rant it's been a long week & this hasn't helped)

I can totally understand delays and things going wrong but not to be contacted and no apology offered gets on my nerves everytime.
