That's awesome then! Upper quartile, or something!

What brought on the performance, ken? Pushing yourself on a personal level, outrunning the law, etc? That's a superb total. I'm nowhere near. Only thing we have in common is the word 'miles' after the number.

Only thing we have in common is the word 'miles' after the number. it was double my normal mileage. I have the luxury of being retired and can go out just about anytime I have never done more than 40 miles on a run but try to do 20 miles a day some days I do 20 miles am and 20 miles pm. Last month I had the pleasure of my daughter and son in law's company on a few runs as they were on holiday this pushed the total somewhat. My average speed is 11mph so I am no great shakes, just last month the miles piled up I was surprised and delighted. We are hoping to get fit enough to attempt the C2C later this year my son in law is super fit but my daughter and I cant match his pace My usual route includes 720ft of uphill and for some reason I cant understand 740 ft of downhill. Now theres an idea a C2C on Tribans 140 miles over 3days anyone fancy it?

A 140 miler over three days, 'oop north'... that sounds good Ken. I suggest sticking the concept in the 'What's going on' thread and see who's interested. My OH and I are planning to embark on a 200km audax route in 10 days or so, with a couple of nights camping, so 140 over three could be just what we're training for!!!
