I am the same height as you and the 57cm was the right size. If there aren't any in the local area you could always try calling another store and having them deliver it to you. I was lucky enough to be passing by Coventry and was able to reserve their last 57 the day before

Got in from work for lunch (you get 2 hrs in France!)and did my daily routine of checking stock and there it was size 57 in stock!!! 30 second later its mine after all these months of waiting! So thats a 5a and a garmin in a week!good job i have been saving...

I'm 6' (converted from 183cm ) and have the 60cm. I did put a 90mm stem on it in place of the stock 110; and that is much better. In the store i found the 57 to be awkwardly "short". Either could possibly fit i think; i'd figure out a plance where they have either a 3, 5 or 7 in stock in both sizes; and try them out.

So between 57cm and 60cm would be ideal for you?. I am just going of the size chart and my current bike is a 60cm (non compact) frame and it is way to long on the reach (dont think i have short arms either!) Have read that if in doubt get a smaller size, also i can send it back if it doesnt fit and exchange, dut i am confident it will be comfy...

Very pro.
Do whatever you consider safe though, back to front anything on a bike is all well and good until it goes wrong.
Used to ride classic GB motorbikes in-between modern ones and have jumped in and out of various wrong side drive cars in airports over the years, doable but keep your wits about and leave yourself plenty of time to ease the brakes on.
I wouldn't bet on anyone flying through a city centre at pace and needing to grab a handful managing to stay vertical if attempted first outing.

I'm 6ft ish (ok 5ft 11.5) , Thurrock recommended a 60 and Surrey Quays a 57 (both stores had both sizes in stock). Not being used to a road bike everything felt strange. In the end my C2W voucher was spent on a 5A in size 60. Looking at a shorter stem, and pulling the seat back (shop set up bike with seat pulled forward). If you are between sizes TRY not to worry to much. Get out and ride, but before I get my next (more expensive?) bike I will get a professional fitting. But before that, better legs and less ballast on me are more important

Jumping in and out of left hand drive cars is fine for me now, i have a rhd car and work in a French garage so all the cars are lhd, still find it funny when i get in the wrong side of my car though!! Luckily where i live we dont really have a city centre or lots of trafic, thinking about it there is not a lot apart from 3 bread shops, 2 butchers and 3 chemists!!typical small French village eh!
