So, I picked the bike up on Friday, and its every bit as good (and certainly faster) as I expected it to be. One thing I forgot though, in my haste to get out of the shop, was to ask for an owners manual. I've found one in pdf format here btwin.com/notices/wp-content/uploads/pdf/notices/en/velo_en.pdf but wonder if the shop actually have paper copies and should have given one to me with the bike? Dave

one thing worth note is this little paragraph
This bicycle, and particularly its braking system, is designed for a maximum load of 100 kg (220 lbs). For example, for a bicycle weighing 13 kg (29 lbs and carrying 5 kg (11 lbs) of luggage, maximum user weight is 100 - 13 - 5 = 82 kg (181 lbs).

Page 16 is entitled "Breaking System". Is the bike going to fall apart as it has a breaking system and not a braking system.
You'd think they would at least proof read the titles on each page

I'm around 204 lbs (was 238 lbs at the beginning of the year). Plan to get down to around 14 stone. I didn't receive any info with my bike, not even a DVD. One thing I have noticed is the wheels seem to go out of true if I so much as look at them. My weight or rubbish wheels?

My weight or rubbish wheels? probably a bit of both fred but it is a bit of a bummer seeing that, there was a conversation a few weeks back where i was looking for just this info, i think alot more people need to read that because if anything goes wrong and legislative action is required theyll simply refer to that paragraph the fact that you did not receive owner manual works in your favour though

Having been told nothing in store about the existence of that document when purchasing the bike, I doubt they would be very successful in rejecting any claims due to someone's weight being over the 100kg stated in there.
