Please excuse my ignorance, and a poor first post. I bought my Triban 3 on a whim a few months ago, my wife collected it for me, and I've literally ridden it 2 miles. It has sat in the utility room since. I have reluctantly decided to sell it, I bought it as a 60cm, I have just gone to check the measurement from BB to top tube and it is far less. Am I stupid? Do they use a different measurement? Have I been done over? The bike fits me well, I'm 6' 1" and it does seem OK. Many thanks.

60 cm will be the measurement from the centre of the steering stem to the centre of the seat post in a horizontal line ( not along the top tube )
EDIT - you are measuring seat tube length like they do for mountain bikes.

Cheers for that, I've just had another look and it seems like we are a bit closer. Was a little confused, especially after my old road bikes were centre BB to top tube. Thanks again

Frame size is on the label under the frame , turn the bike upside down it gives you serial number and bike info including frame size.

I suppose I'd better come clean!
I had a fairly bad car accident about 12 years ago where I was hit side on in my car. I soon found out that my neck is in no way suited to road bike riding anymore, as much as I would like to do it. I literally had a thumping headache after the 2 mile test ride. As for the whim part, credit cards have a lot to answer!
She is now in the F/S section on here, hopefully save me from the dreaded eBay.
Thanks for the info, and sorry it was only a passing visit.

Sorry to hear that lister , do you think all forms of cycling are out ? Maybe a hybrid like the boardman comp would be ok . Just thought I put it out there . Sorry if my previous post seemed a little crass . Just a joke mate . Hope things improve .
