Just a heads up. A friend of mine I've been badgering to get into cycling bought a TDF yesterday.
The new one has Claris shifters (no button, it's a thumb paddle), Claris rear derailleur and Tourney front derailleur.
He also had a carbon fork fitted to it. Not sure if this is a nationwide offer, or just the store he bought it from, but it is a Boardman fork, usually £200, down to £75.
By joining British Cycling for £13 he saved 10%. So the bike cost him a little under £300. Personally I think thats a great deal.

i was unsure and it was a toss up between the Carrera Zelos, TDF but then i stumbled on the 3A and have been mightily pleased i did! For the same price as the Zelos ive got so much more guarantee and cover and an extra 10 gears. Feels nice and lighter. Bit like my Giant OCR4 i just sold. TBH the TDF colour scheme to me look horrid (personal opinion) The 3a looks like it should cost £500+. T3a all the way!

Apart from the red hood covers. Those I don't think go with the black and white of the bike. Still a great buy!

Yeah I'm still not convinced by the hoods yet. Maybe give it time! Still would prefer black tho. I can live with it
