I have uploaded the GPX file that Whitestar has been kind enough to post into my Everytrail account. If anyone would like to have a look at the route and it's elevations etc, here is the link: www.everytrail.com/view_trip.php?trip_id=2243858 Thanks rossa didn't know about this website. Very cool with the elevations.

Gil told me fairly flat. Well it doesn't look that from rossa's everytrail map! Well got to have something in the tank for Lilyhurst climb.

Hi all I begin with a very sincere apology to Stuart and aj66 along with his wife. Rossa and I were very much soak and cold. We did wait at the secret check point but with the rain coming down we decided to push on. I am very sorry for that and feel that I have let you down. So how was it today? Rain and more rain, yep just lots of the same - rain. It was windy too, badly at times. 4 hours 11 minutes for me 58 miles. Cold and wet it was but it was an adrenalin rush! Rossa is a real climber and it it wasn't for him I fear my time would be much longer! Thanks Rossa for dragging me along! app.strava.com/activities/72131022PS You chaps ok with me uploading the pictures ?

Few Pictures of the Barrie Williams Challenge 2013 didn't get a chance really as I spent all my time dragging my ass over the hills! They said it was a "fairly flat route" Start/Finish - in this case finish after rain and wind - 4 hours 11 minutes Check Point 1 I think there was about a 170 riders on the route with ages as old as 87 I think. Rossa was talking to this old chap that was about that old. Chap has been riding for decades and in some very different locales, but that's Rossa's story. I was happy to see so many women riding too.

Hi rossa and whitestar, great to meet both! we all got back ok, 5 hours to get the missus and Stu to the finish line, but she did it and she's well chuffed! Her furthest to date by 34 miles.... hills were a bit of struggle but she got up them slowly , glad you carried on though lads, she didnt want to hold anyone back (apart from me lol!) had a really good day, met some great people, great route! (we must try one of their hilly routes one day!) 4 Tribans together in one place, think its a record, p.s ok for pics to go on, and also well done to you both for completing challenge!

Glad you all got back safely mate. It was great to see some forum members in the flesh, and share a really great ride with them. The wind, rain and hills made the last 20 miles very tough going, so hats of to your good lady mate. To more than double her previous biggest distance is a quality effort in those conditions. I think we can now say the Midlands branch of the TOC has had it's first ride!

So happy you made it and had a great time! I am very proud of your missus! I only wish my wife could have met her, it would be an inspiration for her! Let her know how great she is! It was wonderful to have met you all and I agree with Rossa, we need to keep this alive. We should meet again. Greet to meet you all!!!!
