Thanks Chas and CBR. There does seem to be a difference of opinion here. My frame is a 54 but I imagine that the diameter is the same for all frame sizes. It certainly looks like 34.9 mm to me after a rough measurement. I don't really want to disturb the seat post which I would have to do to get the exact figure. Wrap a piece of paper around the seat tube and mark the distance. circumference divided by 3.142 = diameter EG 34.9 x 3.142 = 109.65mm around the tube 31.8 x 3.142 = 99.91mm around the tube

My size 57 t5a is 34.9
I like the look of these dog fangs. My chain has only dropped of twice but both times it has been going slowly up a very steep climb.
And both times I only just unclipped my pedals as I was hardly moving.
There is zero chance of peddling the chain back on under these circumstances.
A fiver to save me falling sideways on my face? I consider that money well spent :-D
Bought.

It works out at just over 35mm. Must be the extra thickness of paint they put on these Italian frames! Anyway, you have answered my query. It has to be the largest of the three sizes on offer. Thanks for the advice.

Apologies if I've got it wrong from memory, I've got a few bikes with different sizes, I'll confirm tomorrow but Deano is probably right

Thanks for the advice. I bought mine from Wiggle and it was the largest size of the three. I've got a 54 Triban 3.
