i wouldnt have signed for it with the handlerbar sticking out, how do you know that shifter hasnt been wrecked? for the hood rubber to be damaged like that i think its been sitting at the bottom of the van under other stuff and friction has burned the rubber away and possibly damaged the shifter - one of the most expensive compnents on a bike, also if this is the case then is the frame still true? the wheels? the mechs? id be livid too The delivery man had turned the 'best' side towards me. So I signed for it, brought it inside and turned it round and saw it! They've just threw it about and not give a crap basically. Had a word with Decathlon, they were very helpful, sending me a new bike but unfortunately wont arrive until Saturday, more waiting! well better than a poke in the eye i suppose, mind and tape it up well and take a photo before you send the other one back also sign for it with your signature and write UNCHECKED underneath, cover yourself but being desp on the bike id say to the courier - wait til ive checked, its a request from the sender, generally theyll have no prob waiting a couple of mins goodluck anyway, lets hope you are pounding it by sat pm

If they offer to have another one delivered by UPS, ask that they please put it inside the van this time instead of towing behind.
My lad had problems getting his new carbon jobby a few months back. The delivery man said that there was no=one at home on his report card, despite the fact that son was sitting in the window waiting for his bike to come down the street in a van.
I called the delivery company, and from the description the agent gave of the house I worked out that the driver had gone to the wrong street.
She asked for directions which might help, my answer went something on the lines of.....
"well, opposite my street is a petrol station, and its the first street on the left after XYZ. If the street your driver goes down has JJJShop on the corner, he's got it wrong. But really, the biggest clue of all is that is this large black and white sign at the top of the road that says 'Slog Avenue' not 'Ethel Avenue'!"
Numpties with sat navs.

I'll never trust them with anything again. They're sending it through parcel force this time.

It's just pot luck whether you get a careful or careless driver unfortunately!
