Wow that is pretty poor. I'm not sure if that's Decathlon shabby packing and box or UPS taking the p and having no care for the goods. I think a bit of both really. A few on here have got it delivered wondered if they had such problems. Anyway your best bet is to get onto their FB page. The people replying are superb and always try and assist. www.facebook.com/decathlonuk

I would expect they will refund your shipping costs @bd4sh. There's also an online form to report issues, as well as FB.
I've always had a really good experience with the customer services people.

@bd4sh you may have to be fairly patient, they don't have a very big team...

I got through to the store, who I'd rang earlier, the girl was lovely and put me through to someone that she didn't do originally(gave me an email at first) who was also very helpful and went and spoke to the logistics manager to see if they can get another bike turned around in time for tomorrow. I'm so annoyed. The box is admittedly small, but it just needs to be handled with a bit of common sense, the handlebar went through the cardboard box, through the bubble wrap and then took the rubber off the bars, that's pure mishandling. Thanks for the quick replies guys.

I hope they will sort you out. I have had a very good relationship with the Decathlon staff so I can only hope that it will be the same for you.

Decathlon on the other hand were fantastic so far, spoke to a few people who were more than happy to help me. One guys is gonna get back to me as he's trying to ring the stores and get one delivered to me from there instead of UPS. Said I'd take a white or red Fingers crossed!

i wouldnt have signed for it with the handlerbar sticking out, how do you know that shifter hasnt been wrecked? for the hood rubber to be damaged like that i think its been sitting at the bottom of the van under other stuff and friction has burned the rubber away and possibly damaged the shifter - one of the most expensive compnents on a bike, also if this is the case then is the frame still true? the wheels? the mechs?
id be livid too

So I signed for it, brought it inside and turned it round and saw it! They've just threw it about and not give a crap basically. Had a word with Decathlon, they were very helpful, sending me a new bike but unfortunately wont arrive until Saturday, more waiting!
