I was pleased that with the Β£200-Β£300 saving I made on the T3 (to the next alternative), I was able to get cleats, shoes, pumps, tubes, helmet, etc, etc and feel like I was under spending on my bike cycling habit

Lol, I did get the bell - it sounded rather quaint when I wanted to pass some fellow cyclists! Good to hear I didn't miss out on anything too spectacular.

Never realised a bell was a legal requirement - I wondered why the guy put it on the bike despite fact I said not too and threw it in nearest bin! Not having it spoil my T3! It's a legal requirement for a shop to sell a bike with a bell, but not to ride with one fitted. My T3 came with: Bell Lights DVD Tools to fit pedals and tighten stem reflectors. I had mine delivered and it was complete apart from having to fit pedals and straighten stem.

if i bought a bike new and it had tri spoke wheels where are they putting the reflector that they are duty bound to sell it with? stick it on with tape? no thanks i wonder at what point along the chain they stop with the whole legal requirement thing, because ive never seen a wilier or a trek leave the shop with bells and spoke mounted reflectors
is it just the big chain stores that bother about it?

Mine came with as standard the bell and reflectors. The bell is still on and the back reflector fell so I removed the front.
I paid a little extra and got the following: bottle cage with pump holder with bottle and pump front halogen sized light rear non flashing red light tyre upgrade, plus the original tyres white handle bar tape fitted
I also bought some padded shorts, cycling gloves and a new helmet as my old one is so old it's classed as a teenager.
Plus a few months on I've just bought some shoes, cleats and clipless pedals.
