Other than the price, is there much of a difference? Worth the extra 200 smackers?? All advice is appreciated here because i haven't a clue!

The white T5 is last years model and has carbon forks and carbon seat stays. Also has last years Sora groupset. Not sure if there are any other spec enhancements.

I've no experience of either the T3 or 'old' T5, so can't give a definitive yes or no based on buying or ownership experience. I did, however, buy a T5a in March............. Is it Β£130 better than the T3?? I'd say yes.

Kinda strange the old one's 70 bucks more than the new one, sounds daft but i'm hooked on the idea of a white one which is why i overlooked yours, which is probably better than the both of them!

That'll be because the old one has the carbon seatstays, so a more compliant rear end! To be honest, when I decided to buy a road bike I wanted a white one too. Was all set to pull the trigger on a Giant Defy 4, but then spotted the Triban and at the money they're asking for them it was too good to miss. I also bought mine for the Β£399 they originally marketed them at, about 3 or 4 days before the price crept up to Β£429. Pretty sure my next bike will be a Canyon Ultimate AL 7.0 in Team White. Sex on wheels!

youll be lucky, the red 3 is like lord lucan these days
i like the white 5 BUT its the livery on it, 'btwin' looks crap, 'BTWIN' on the other hand looks great and thats one of the reasons i like the newer range
the new 3a I think is a cracker for the cash, it gets sniffed at b/c of the steel fork but once again BTWIN are innovating, all the majors are following suit and offering their entry model with steel forks these days, and those that arent are getting beaten on price which very much talks these days, also the retro look of the black fork on the white frame, looks very nice
microshift components arent that hard to get either and i think the hoods are easier to source than shimanos, and they do multiple colours, there is a uk dealer for them somewhere on the interweb
