I almost had the bottom shot yesterday Z but rode into hazy grey mist hanging over the Cotswolds ... was out in just a LS top and two under-layers though, perfect in the sun that I had for a few miles but a bit chilly in the grey stuff; bought a Gilet this am to set up for spring ... you guessed it, rain here now and forecast for a few days ... sigh!

The weather was a bit different this year. They were snowed off the Turchino. What a way to earn a living.
How about starting a campaign to include Awkward Hill in the parcours for the next TOB? There must be some way to get Nempnett Thrubwell the recognition it deserves.

Friend of mine lives Chew Stoke way, I might take the car down and have a ride around there at some point; I did use Bike Hike to track a course around both Blagdon and Chew lakes ... there's some good terrain/hills around there.

Might go to Caerphilly this year, rather than Pen-y-Fan.

I just don't seem to be able to get away from that village in N E Somerset which I must admit I had never heard of until the Decathlon issue arose. Last Christmas my son gave me a booklet entitled "End to End Cycle Guide". It gives a detailed route from Lands End to John O'Groats. I am not sure of his motivation as the chances of my doing it are nil but I put it on my bedside table and finally got round to reading some of it last night. Yes, youve guessed it, the route takes the B3114, around Chew Valley Lake and right past N T. I really must make the pilgrimage.

Have the very same (SRAM PG850 if I'm not mistaken). Superbly photographed. They don't stay that clean for long unfortunately.

A couple of Pics from my ride today, looked really impressive when I rode past, so stopped and took a couple of snaps. Where the cars have splashed through the puddle, its frozen as it drips from the branches.

Nice Z, like the top shot - could do some funky stuff in Photoshop with that - looks like Narnia.
I passed under a railway bridge with loads of icicles hanging off it yesterday, should have captured it - must start taking a camera out more often!
