Just wondering what everyone prefers. I've had a look and i fancy either the lifeproof mount or the tigra, anyone have any experience with them or something better?

Nice one, does that keep it waterproof as well?

Halfrauds do a waterproof one made by Topeak. Good quality and about Β£16. I tried it with my galaxy s2 but it was to tight a squeeze. After all its made for an iphone!! Should be perfect for you.

@thunderboltsteve the Topeak RideCase holder on its own isn't waterproof, but it does come with a water resistant 'poncho' which should keep all but the worst out. Pix of the poncho are on the review thread in the review section. You can't use a power supply or headphones with the poncho on, btw.
jdebuse is right that Topeak do a waterproof bag, which I believe can clip into the RideCase mount, but best to double check this, and whether it's iPhone 4 or 5 sized.

Cheers mate, i think i'm better off with the lifeproof mount, purely because i already own a lifeproof case i've had for a few months so it's just a matter of buying the bracket, if you'd seen the nick of my last iphone you'd understand why it was an important purchase for me, rather clumsy!

One note of caution Steve. Whilst I was looking into something similar for my S3 I read a lot of comments about smartphones/iphones getting "bricked" due to the vibration suffered on a handlebar. Not trying to scare you off, but perhaps something to research and consider.

There's certainly a fair bit of vibration via the tires/wheels/forks for a phone to contend with... R501s seem to increase this as I tried the iPhone mount prior to changing from stock wheels. In the Topeak RideCase, er, case, a rubber washer strategically positioned at the handlebar mount point or at the point the phone clips in should provide some dampening, but I haven't got round to that yet.

I would think it depends on how long you had the phone on as well, i take it your phone has been ok using the mount?

I would think it depends on how long you had the phone on as well, i take it your phone has been ok using the mount? I didn't actually get one in the end. I got a small wireless cycle computer on my handlebar stem. I keep my phone in my jersey back pocket and use the Strava App on it. If you want a cheap cycle computer I think Aldi a knocking them out for about 7 quid at the moment. They are wireless, and have been getting some favourable comments on the forum. Have a look at the Aldi 7th July thread. did you want to use your I phone for navigation or just monitoring speed, distance etc?

A bit of everything really, i'm a bit geeky that way it just like my gadgets but the cycle computer could be a safer alternative money wise!
