Afternoon all, Apologies if this has been covered before, but can anyone recommend a wallet friendly saddle replacement as I have a particularly boney behind, so need something for comfort. Weight isn't an issue right now, as I'm relatively new to road cycling. Preferably in white as I think white saddle/grip tape looks the biz (and is the rules, or some I'm told) and I'm really shallow, so I love stuff to look good , so this will probably be one of my first upgrades but not the end of the world if I can't get a white one within my budget which would be maximum £50, but ideally cheaper. Thanks in advance.

Another vote for charge spoon. Love mine BUT some hate them. Saddles really are such personal choice. But if buy one especially 2nd hand and don't get on with it then sell it and you'll get your money back no problem.

Not to put a damper on it....but I bought into the 'Charge Spoon' is all-things-to all-men thing very early on....and found it the most uncomfortable and unforgiving saddle I'd ever ridden in 40 + years. I gave it away. I went back to the stock T3 saddle and finally to a selle italia.
There is just NO way of knowing what saddle is going to suit your particular physique until you you try em..........(IMO) One mans meat is another's poison etc.
Unfortunately..it is a bit tricky finding a way to try them out in any meaningful way and it could get a bit silly expensive............however....luck plays a big part; as does trying out friends and acquaintances saddles, or finding an LBS that will let you have some on approval, or using the 'Specialised' Arseometer!
There is no one single answer for saddles.

Like Widge, I didn't get on with the Charge Spoon either and ended up selling it via this forum.
I'm now using a Fizik Arione, but it was expensive. So far so good, but I've not been on any 2 hour plus rides to really test it out.
Like many have said before, it really is a personal thing.

The specialised Avatar Comp is a really nice saddle, around £40.
To be honest Im really impressed with the stock saddle that came with my T7a.
