Just wondering what measurements you use for your cycle computers or GPS? I've had mine on Miles for a while but just changed to Km, bit of a shock when you look down and its reading 44 until you remember that its km/h rather than mph!!

MILES and MPH .....even when touring abroad. I can relate to the distances involved better.

This /\ ! Use what you like amongst the TOC forumites but remember to switch to kms when talking to non cyclists, it adds to the mysticism, kudos, builds your worldly reputation, associates you with the GTs and makes them think you're super human . Useful quotes: 'just did a quick 40 and managed to maintain an over 30 average' 'we did 100 and averaged around 25' etc.

Yeah that's what I found on my last ride, its hard to relate to the km/h readings. Guess I'll get used to it though

I still convert everything back to pounds shillings and pence and am 5 foot eight and a half inches tall. I'm not into all this johnny foreigner measurement. My bike computer reads out in kilometers and I simply pretend they are MPH.
Makes me faster.
Job Done?
