Great idea but I don't think it'll work with a basic wireless computer. I don't know about the Aldi ones, but the Decathlon ones have a very limited range from sensor to head (the count 14 uses a different system) so I think you'd be safer looking for a cheap wired one

some other chap on here has done this, not sure about an aldi specific unit but he does run two computers on his bars and one is converted to a cadence unit, wouldnt even know where to begin finding it but im sure youll come across it, i think it was discussed back in aporil or may

Good comments chaps.
I had wondered about the range and contemplated mounting it on my top tube to bring the unit closer to the sensor - but in reality i think this would just be awkward to monitor when riding. As you suggested Chas, I think a cheap wired one could well be better.
Thanks for the tip off Zoltan. I'll have a rummage around the forums and see what i can find.

Hi Ben , Ive just bought one for Β£15 from tesco with cadence after advice on this here forum . The cadence unit is wired from the computer housing but the computer itself is wireless . The cadence setting works just fine although the speedo is not working at the moment . I'll try and find the tread I posted as I don't know how to put links in ( bit of a techno thicky really )
