Has anyone 'flipped the stem' on their Tribans? If yes, what difference does it make? Discuss please.

Has anyone got pics for this. I took the main bolt out the top, which came out but the stem wouldn't shift? There a metal circular clip or something inside? Scared to poke around

Has anyone got pics for this. I took the main bolt out the too of the stem and the stem wouldn't shift? Should only be the three bolts, two on the stem itself and the top one. When putting it back together align it properly but tighten the top bolt first. I'm assuming you've already removed the bars from their end of the stem.

Yep. I took the too bolt out and undid the two but it wouldn't shift. Being a newbie was a bit afraid to give it a good tug so put it al back together again. Should it easily slip off?

Mine did come off quite easily, you might need to give it a serious sideways tap with the heal of your hand to break it free but after that it should be fairly easy. Sounds almost like its been overtightened.

Was thinking of doing the same. If you try it, let me know how it feels. Only downside is your not as low; not as aerodynamic.
