I'm a bit of a tart when it comes to handling my T3. I always handle it with great care and even hate getting fingerprints on the shiny red frame! The youngest parked his jump bike in the garage the other day and the missus asked him to move my T3 as it was in the way. He did move it and leant it against his! I went into the garage and discovered it and had a silent fit! His pedal was touching one of the spokes and his rear wheel was touching the derailleur. I very carefully and gently lifted off my T3 and replaced it in a clear space well away from any prospective sharp objects to prevent scratching.
How do you handle tour Triban? Kid gloves or a bit rough and ready?

I must admit to being a little protective. If I come home from work and the boys have their bikes out (T3 is always in pole position in the shed) its like the Spanish Inquisition (and nobody expects that) who moved my bike, how was it moved. Normally it's the OH, but still the triban is thoroughly checked for battle scars.

I am protective too of Whitney. The family is calling her my new girlfriend - actually she is my mistress (well with all the money I am spending on her!). I accidentally dropped my bike foot pump on the top bar - small scar enough to feel and about 4mm long. I know its tiny but Whitney doesn't think so! I see every time I look at her.
Yep I am very protective.

Overly protective. I make sure to wedge a bit of cardboard or cloth when I rest the frame up against a pole or a wall. It's so much more OCD when we've bought the bikes from new. It is like bringing home a child for the first time, ok not quite but close 2nd.
On a serious note, I do try and be careful when I pop the bike into the car and take it out. Bending any spokes or moving the derailleurs out alignment is bound to be a pain to sort out.
Red: "I went into the garage and discovered it and had a silent fit" <<<< hahaha I totally pictured that moment.

Guilty of not being careful enough. Few scrapes on the top tube from resting the bike against walls and stuff. Things are awkward without a stand. It's a sturdy bike though and I'm sure it will forgive me.

The T5 got a wipe down with baby wipes last night! Think that pretty much sums it up

Very over protective. My three young children know Daddy's bike is very special and when I see it moved or even worse nearly falling over as they try and get their bikes out I "blow my top!" . I have just purchased a new wheelset upgrade so I will be even worse now I fully expect I will ban them from the garage!

Yep, baby wipes with mine and always careful with parking her up.
On the French sportive, due to space most bikes were parked up 4/5 aside. Yikes I thought and left mine with the motorcycles, where there was more room.
However saying that there was the minor incident involving a height restriction barrier in some stupid motorway car park. But no damage thank God. Just a small scruff to the front shifter.

Bikes in the shed.... Don't think so!! Lol This was when I hadn't T3, but the T5 is in the same place. My lad knows to not even walk near it. Weirdly enough my MTB is worth way more but I'm way less protective of that!

The road bike is like your RED Ferrari, the MTB a Hummer. Your bound to be more careful of one than the other. And yes, mine is kept indoors as well

My |T3 lives in the dinning room, when i get home from work i put a cloth over the handle bar to protect it from the wall. When i am in work it rests up against the concreat pole next to my toolbox, but have loads of foam pads the the cars i pdi and have them all over the wall to protect the frame. If it gets wet i dry it off. I have also polised it with turtle wax and autoglym extra gloss protection.

I keep mine in the outhouse standing up with a Maplin bike stand, at work it leanes against a plastik coated fence locked to a steel railing. When I get home it goes back in outhouse without a wash.
