Chaps, I sent my C14+ back to SQ branch as instructed by Decathlon customer service.
As you'd expect, they were brilliant on the emails and Fb page. Responded to my queries and after they couldn't figure out what was wrong, they found my unit was faulty and have sent a replacement out within a few days.
I can't praise them enough for acting quickly and getting me another unit out. Good experiences like this is why I will continue to purchase from Decathlon where I can instead of their competitors.
I just hope this time I have no issues. So ohoward, zoltan, if it starts happening to you, send it back. Yours could be faulty too. I'll get the new one setup at some point and start testing it out and can then look at the data-smoothing issue.

Did a bit of an experiment over the last few days, might be coincedence or might not, the computer geeks I'm sure will be able to comment with more authority Tried the computer with about half the memory filled up and had problems, cleaned the memory and deleted past ride info and it worked fine Might be relevant, might be a fluke

Fluke for sure as I suggested that to o when he had his problem and I tried the same when mine started playing up. As long as yours is working, I wont jinx it but get in touch with them if you have any issues as it could be an apparent fault. I don't remember damaging it or getting it wet even though it's listed as watertight.
Zol, do those rubber cases keep the water out better?

Not really, to be fair if im cycling over cobbles it tends to dislodge itself, not a tight fit

Interesting. After I washed my bike the other day I had exactly the same problem as before. Working perfectly again now. Am I really expected to remove the sensors every time I clean the bike?

interesting indeed. You just jogged my memory. I think I washed my bike the weekend before it started playing up. I didn't think twice about splashing it with water because it says "Durability Watertight assembly, durable case.".
Can't be removing cable ties every time you wash the chain stay. At least I know now. Will cover it with some towels or plastic wrap.

The head unit is fine from what I can tell. It will be the speed/cadence sensor, which is sold separately, and thus affects more customers than just C14+ users. I will have to cover it from now on, don't think they'll replace it again for me.
I'm going to encroach on arny's territory and email customer service; make them aware of this thread. It's to much of a coincidence for it not to be a design flaw or manufacturing failure when sealing the unit.

Mine reset itself this morning halfway through a ride
Went back to the setup screen and I had to put all my details in again! (Tricky while riding!)
Oh well, not the end of the world, i only use it to check speed and cadence while riding, so the occasional blip won't worry me!

Decathlon: "Thanks for the feedback, we will forward your message to the relevant people at B'TWIN to investigate."
