I won a pair of brand new Mavic Aksium wheels on eBay last weekend and they arrived yesterday. OMG - they are stunning!!!! The seller had received them on a brand new bike he'd bought, but was swapping over his existing wheels so the Aksiums were surplus to requirements. They literally are brand new and came with brand new tubes, Vittoria Zaffiro tyres and skewers. Got the whole package for Β£142!!! Went into The Bicycle Works in Edinburgh yesterday and they fitted a Tiagra 12-27 cassette for me for Β£30. Have fitted them to the bike and it looks immense, but the indexing and limit screws need a wee tweak to get it all running sweetly. Can't wait to get out and see how they roll. Photos to follow.

Quick photo taken on the driveway, as it's starting to rain. I'll try to get some more 'arty' shots for Rad on Monday.....Β

Nice Del, do you find that bar position comfortable, I started about that angle but changed after a short while as it wasn't feeling right. bikedynamics.co.uk/fit03.htm

Still a work in progress, mate. I get numb fingers after a while and suspect a slightly shorter stem might be in order.

Have a look at that link, at first I thought of a shorter stem (still do sometimes) - if you're like me, the mood will change depending on what you're up to, I have settled into the longer stem as I've got fitter and muscles / body adapts and on a hour / hour n a 1/2 ride it suits me fine; however, on a longer ride I sometimes think it would be nice to have a shorter one flipped up for a bit more elevation. What I have sussed is that the angle you're showing resulted in what now to me would feel like twisting your wrists back / up - it doesn't work for me and it was making my arms hurt / hands numb. Changed it twice to current angle.

I flipped my stem to a more upright position and tilted the bars too, but interesting to hear your theory on numb fingers. I'll tweak mine down a bit and see if that helps. Thanks mate.

Still a work in progress, mate. I get numb fingers after a while and suspect a slightly shorter stem might be in order. I had the numb fingers problem on my T3 mate. I reduced my stem from 130mm to 100mm and it sorted it for me.
