Wife out for evening. Kids asleep in bed so just spent last 2hours tinkering with my t3. Was bit dirty so full clean with polish and fitted new sram cassette and chain I got for fathers day along with new pads. Trimmed all gears and brakes. Happy as a pig in muck! And yes it was quite dark at the end!

Very straightforward. I've taken cassette off before when greased wheels so swapping cassettes very easy and no spacers needed on original wheels. Never done chain before and couldn't work out how to undo mastrr link on original chain so just used chain braker to remove it. Then measured new chain against old one remembering that sram chain has power link that gives extra link. All very surprisingly simple really. Brake pads doddle, didnt even remove wheels. Just undo grum screw most of way out and swapped pads. Took 5mins. Most of time spend indexing gears, tuning brakes and giving it good clean

(just make sure it reaches around largest chainring + sprocket)

Cheers for that. I put on same ratio as before, well sram is 26 instead of 25 but near enough that no adjustment to length but good to check.
