No change in the numbers from my pedals or any other ill effects from this firmware update so far. On another note Favero asked for €26.00 to cover the cost of shipping a replacement left spindle which I've duly paid so let's see how long it takes to send and then arrive. Karen was mourning the lack of power numbers on our ride today but you don't need them when you just have to hold my wheel.

Email from Favero on Thursday afternoon to say my replacement left spindle was on its way. An hour later an email from UPS to say they had my parcel and it would be delivered on Friday between 9-12. I must admit I was somewhat sceptical of this but sure enough at 10 am UPS delivered my parcel. So much for hold-ups at customs. Replaced the faulty spindle, connected the charger to wake it up and paired it with my right pedal. New one already had the latest firmware installed but prompted me to update the right pedal. Duly done and a zero offset performed and we were back in business. Favero had requested €26 to cover the cost of postage since I did not buy directly from them and put a note about bank/PayPal fees so I transferred €30 via PayPal to make sure they actually got €26. I got an email back saying thanks but they didn't expect it and they refunded me €4.
I might have had 3 problems across the 2 sets of pedals we have but their customer service is faultless so I would definitely buy their product again. Karen is happy once more as she is convinced her Zumo trainer read low compared to her pedals and was missing her outdoor power numbers too.
