Here is my new full carbon wilier GTR My shopping list was as follows- Italian, carbon and with campagnolo.I didn't want another red bike but something a bit different and the GTR was spot on as it is full of Italian components which is the way Italian bikes should be IMO. It was good to see that campagnolo fit chain catchers as standard to carbon frames so the guy who did my bike fit told me. chain catcher

Perhaps we should start an Italian sub group Martin. But are they Italian or made in Taiwan/China/Cambodia/Vietnam etc?
Lovely looking bike whatever.

I can't speak for the Wilier although the company has been long established in Trieste but the frame on my Cinelli certainly comes from Taiwan. The Taiwanese have a good reputation for bike building but its the Italians who have the style and heritage. My bike was assembled in Milan. I imagine that the EN prefix on the number indicates it was built for the English market. Unlike Martin's Wilier, the Cinelli has a mix of 105 and FSA (also Italian) kit. The wheels are from Fulcrum which is part of the Campagnolo group. It's Italian enough for me.
