I'm slightly more concerned that even at his age, he's apparently never had to have a number 2 before.

I'm slightly more concerned that even at his age, he's apparently never had to have a number 2 before. You do have a good point there, Del. Some tablets may be the order of the day to get things moving.

Update from today. No surgery thank god but could be 12-18 months recovery.I have broke the shoulder socket and an op could do more damage sore as ....... is an understatement. Not looking forward to my first number 2 lol. Thanks everyone for the kind words even you baz haha. Bloody heck mate that must have been some whack. I'd hate to see the hole you've left into road. Take it easy.

Hope the recovery goes better than expected, nothing worse than looking at the bike getting the itch to jump on an realise you can't.
It all testimony to how the cycling community does what it can to help each other
